composite

Taken · 2005-01-07 · Uploaded · 2005-01-07

Description
I saw some composites on the flickr blog, and people seemed to be mystified by them. I created this in around 15 minutes. This is not as nice as what I could do if I had more time, but you get the idea. If you set up the picture correctly and can control the conditions composites are deceptively easy.

Looks good to me, Chris. :) I've been eager to do this for awhile now and maybe when I return from vacation I'll try it out.

Haha! I really need to do this one day! And it looks really well to me.

I forgot to ask but would that be Evil Chris or Mellow Yellow Chris next to original "flava" Chris? :)

Was this done all in camera, or in software? I don't think my camera allows multiple exposures, so I could only do this in software.

oh, never mind, I see the "photoshoped" tag. So you did post-process two images into one. Groovy.

kartooner: see the new note for your answer. Rob: Thanks! Its not really that hard. skippy: Yeah, you can't really do this easily with multiple exposures, due to the "ghosting" effect. It can be done, but it is waaay more trouble than its worth.

Chris: Maybe you could write a mini-tutorial on how you did this in Photoshop, for those who aren't well versed or better yet educated with the powers of compositing.

kartooner, not a bad idea. I have been wanting to add another tutorial to my site. I think I will create a different image though, just for the tut.

HERE is a nice tutorial on how to do composites for those (like me) who use Macromedia Studio MX. Just an FYI. . .

A year later Chris and I still wait for the tutorial. :) I've got at least another 60 years left in me, so I'll just keep commenting here until either I pass out or the Internet combusts into flames.
