Initial reaction: I really like the shape of the eyes and nose - it's very close to what it wants to be.
My advice: This medium requires a lot of confidence to pull off very well (it's tough, which is why you'll never see me try it). This image doesn't show a lack of technique, but more a lack of confidence. You hesitate in your strokes because you seem to be uncertain of them. Don't worry so much about technical or anatomic accuracy in an image that needs to express EMOTION.
